Across Libby Dam Ignite the Nites Poker Run by Maggie Craig August 17, 2026 Libby's Igniters Car Club held its annual poker run, car show and burnout contest over the weekend of August 13-15. The poker run was held Thursday, August 13, beginning at the Mint Bar with stops at Kaiju, the golf course, Red Dog, River Bend, Libby Dam and ending at Po Sam's restaurant. The Libby Dam stop held a special surprise. Leaving the River Bend, participants were instructed to travel north on Highway 37 and turn left at the dam, being allowed to actually drive across the dam to the Visitors Center to draw their next card. Crossing the dam by any means has been allowed very few times since 9/11 so not only was it a surprise, but a special treat as well. The club reports 290 poker hands being dealt with 100% payout.
