People's Choice 1954 Ford F1 pickup owned by Mike Hall from Spokane, WA And the Dice Ignite the Nites Car Show by Maggie Craig August 21, 2026 Libby's Igniters Car Club held its annual poker run, car show and burnout contest over the weekend of August 13-15. Sort of cancelled this year was the Igniters' sponsorship of the Friday night cruise over a disagreement with the city concerning insurance requirements and recent paint striping on Mineral Avenue. A 27-year tradition, however, could not be stopped so easily and an unofficial cruise took place with the added satisfaction for the cruisers rebelling against city government while supporting the Igniters. The Saturday car show, as always, was another incredible display along Mineral Avenue (which had quite a lot of burned rubber along its length). The club reports 297 entries with 31 Igniters display vehicles. Formed in 1961,the Igniters Car Club is the oldest, active car club in Montana. 2027 Ignite the Nites will be held August 19-21; always the third weekend in August.
