Lincoln County Logger Days

Libby Logger Days has been resurrected and renamed as Lincoln County Logger Days with a new sponsor - Rotary Club of the Kootenai Valley, held over the weekend of June 19-21 at J. Neils Park.
The previous Libby Logger Days was held in 2019, with the pandemic forcing a shutdown in 2020 and then a lack of volunteers in the intervening years shuttered the annual celebration of Libby's timber heritage. Rotary stepped in this year to revisit the beloved event, offering organizational structure and volunteer recruits.
Much of the traditional Logger Days was revived, with the DLW Timberworks Lumberjack Show; fun run; parade; Bull and Bullette of the Woods; lawnmower races; an Adventure Zone, sawdust dig and games for kids; logging demonstrations; food; vendors; live music; and more.
As in years past, a Logger Days button was required for entry. The event was a Rotary fundraiser, with proceeds contributing toward scholarships for high school students and community projects.
It was an impressive weekend of activities and judging by the crowds in attendance, it was certainly a success.
