Birds of Prey Northwest presented the program "Owls: Nature's Night Shift" at Libby Dam on Sunday, May 31. Biologist Janie Veltkamp, along with husband Don Veltkamp, operate the nonprofit Birds of Prey Northwest in St. Maries, Idaho, to rehabilitate raptors for release back to the wild. Injured birds unable to be returned to the wild are used for educational purposes. Pictured is Don Veltkamp with Rusty, a red-tailed hawk.
