McGregor Lake Fish Derby

The Lodge at McGregor Lake held its annual fish derby over the weekend of February 21-22. Not the typical ice fishing derby as usual, but anglers made the most of it with bank and boat fishing. A few intrepid souls found enough ice at McGregor Lake Campground to actually make a day of ice fishing.
The Lodge sold 389 adult tickets and 42 kids had signed up for the derby. Kalispell, Libby and Troy merchants always generously support this derby and this year there was over $26,000 worth of raffle prizes.
Not to mention the gorgeous weather with sunshine and blue skies, it was still a rewarding weekend for serious anglers.
