Lincoln County Undersheriff John Hyslop was remembered in a memorial service on Monday, January 19, at the Assembly of God Church in Libby. He passed away of a heart attack at age 57 at his home in Libby the morning of January 8.
He was Lincoln County's K9 handler of Bear, a trained drug search dog, and their work and training together was one of Hyslop's proudest achievements in law enforcement.
A law enforcement/first responder procession took place from Port Boulevard to the church preceeding the service. Hundreds of law enforcement and first responder personnel came from around the state and Idaho to honor one of their own, and hundreds of community members lined Highway 2 to watch the procession.
It was an incredible display of respect by the community and first responders, honoring a highly regarded member of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office for his 13 years of dedicated service to the community.
Rest in peace...
