Ignite the Nites Car Show by Maggie Craig August 22, 2025 The Libby Igniters Car Club held its annual Ignite the Nites event with a car show and burnout contest on Saturday, August 16. The car show always draws hundreds of entrants and spectators alike. The Friday night cruise, Saturday car show and Saturday night burnout contest are highlights of the weekend. The club reports 298 vehicles were entered in the car show, with several judging categories along with 32 display entries from Igniters members. Mineral Avenue was decked out with cars, trucks and motorcycles lining both sidewalks. An early afternoon rain shower gave way to better weather for later in the day and the evening burnout contest. It didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the car show crowd, although it did require breaking out the towels and chamois after the shower passed to get the entries dried off and shining again. This year's People's Choice winner was a 1956 Ford F-250 crew cab pickup owned by Tim Rogier of Clark Fork, Idaho.
