Eagle Valley Amish Auction May 22, 2023 Libby's Amish community held its annual Eagle Valley Auction on Saturday, May 20, at Meadowlark Log Homes on Farm to Market Road. The auction benefits the local Amish school, and attracts visitors from around the region who are interested in Amish-crafted log buildings and furniture, handmade quilts and rugs, flowers, miscellaneous items and much more. Also popular is the lunch of barbequed chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw, and the homemade baked goods, pies, and ice cream. A variety of vendors were also available for browsing. It was a beautiful spring day for the auction with sunshine and blue sky (and some impressive cumulus clouds). Next year's auction is scheduled for May 18, 2024, always the third Saturday in May.
