Ignite the Nites Car Show People's Choice 1957 Ford Del Rio Station Wagon Along Mineral Avenue Ignite the Nites Saturday Car Show by Maggie Craig August 29, 2022 The Libby Igniters Car Club once again held another great Ignite the Nites event for Libby over the weekend of August 18-20, with Saturday's car show on Mineral Avenue drawing the usual big crowd of admirers. The Friday night cruise, Saturday car show and Saturday night burnout contest are highlights of the weekend. Unlike the past two years with Covid restrictions, this year our neighbors from Canada were able to cross the border and enter/visit the car show, although car show registrations were still lower than in previous-to-Covid years. Nonetheless, over 300 vehicles were on display which was plenty to keep spectators busy. Again this year, Saturday morning saw a rain shower ahead of the car show. However, wet pavement had evaporated and sunshine was the order of the day by the time the car show was underway. This year's People's Choice winner was a 1957 Ford Del Rio Station Wagon owned by Larry and Cheryl Hall of Spokane, Washington.
