Mineral Avenue Steven Higgins Quick Carve 2020 Chainsaw Carving Championship - Saturday by Maggie Craig September 20, 2020 Saturday, September 12, was day three of the four-day Kootenai Country Montana International Chainsaw Carving Championship. The carvers continued work on their main judged pieces and added another quick carve for today's auction. The weather cooperated with sunshine and blue sky for most of the day, but smoke from west coast and Callahan Creek wildfires rolled in mid-afternoon and created very smoky conditions for the evening and Sunday.
