2020 Chainsaw Carving Championship - Friday by Maggie Craig September 20, 2020 Day two of the fourth annual Kootenai Country International Chainsaw Carving Championship got underway Friday, September 11, as the 18 carvers continued work on their main judged pieces and a second quick carve for today's auction. The weather was clear and sunny for a beautiful day of carving and watching the artistic magic. This year's roster of carvers included: Donald Benson, Todd Coats, Mark Colp, Lkhagvadorj (George) Dorjsuren, Fernando Dulnuan, Joe Dussia, Damon Gorecki, Colby Herrington, Steven Higgins, Tristin Lemmons, Bongo Love, Jacob Lucas, Dave Marshalek, Abby Peterson, Alex Pricob, Griffon Ramsey, Bruce (Thor) Thorsteinson, and Joe Wenal. Dennis Beach and Josh Blewitt were scheduled to attend but were unable to make it. Pictured are the carvers working on their main pieces.
