Black Lives Matter Demonstration June 11, 2020 A peaceful Black Lives Matter demonstration was held at the Lincoln County Courthouse on Thursday afternoon, June 11. The demonstration was held like many others around the country in response to the death of George Floyd, an African-American, in Minneapolis at the hands of a white police officer. Protests and demonstrations erupted across the country and around the world in response to police violence and systemic racism.
