Nordicfest Heritage Festival 2016 September 14, 2016 The 32nd annual Nordicfest, now called Nordicfest Heritage Festival, was held over the weekend, September 9-10. A scaled-down version of Nordicfest now takes place over two days rather than three, but several of Nordicfest's favorite events remain. The festival's highlights included a bunad parade, juried craft show, quilt show, youth runnerfell, kids' events, outdoor entertainment, food booths and Kootenai Karacters melodrama. Saturday's highlights added the annual parade downtown Saturday morning and the Singing Sons of Beaches at the VFW Saturday evening. Visitors to this year's Nordicfest enjoyed beautiful weather with two days of sunshine sandwiched between rain storms. Nordicfest has been an annual tradition since 1985.
