Kootenai River Rodeo August 3, 2016 The thirteenth annual Kootenai River Rodeo was held over the weekend, July 29-30, at J. Neils Park. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event is sponsored by the Libby Area Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Timberline Auto. The rodeo attracted riders from Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, California and Canada. The program included bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding both nights. Points earned in Libby count toward PRCA circuit totals. This year's rodeo announcer was Brent Jordan, with rodeo clown Ryan "Rocket Ryan" Litwin providing entertainment and professional bullfighter Kaleb Barrett looking after his fellow cowboys.
