The Halfway House on Bull Lake Road sponsored its first
annual ice fishing derby over the weekend on Bull Lake.
The target species was pike, and the first place winner for
largest pike was Hawk Powell with a fish weighing 13 lb. 5
oz. Second place went to Steve Munyan for 8 lb. 4 oz. and
third place was Dustin Erwin with 4 lb. 15 oz.

Although rain the night before obscured the ice, the ice
was about 8" thick over the entire lake providing good
conditions for fishing.
