Two killed in wreck on Iron Creek

Kayla Marie Eberly, 21, of Troy, was killed in a single vehicle accident the evening of June 15th. Reportedly two people died in the accident. The other reportedly is Jason Haugen, 34, of Troy. The accident was up Iron Creek.

The vehicle exited a curve at a high rate of speed. The vehicle's right tires went off the road. The driver over-corrected the vehicle and lost control. The vehicle was airborne when it struck two trees with the passenger side causing the vehicle to angle up so the windshield struck the tree. Both driver and passenger suffered fatal injuries.

The roadway was bare and dry at the time of the crash. High rate of speed is a factor. The mishap is still under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.

Kayla Eberly is survived by a toddler son.
