The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says the department won't be filing any charges against Ty Bell and Sheriff Robie Bowe doesn't think MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks will either.

Steve Stevenson and his friend Ty Bell were hunting in the Yaak attack in September when they came upon a grizzly bear, which attacked Stevenson, who was fatally shot and killed during the grizzly attack.

The Montana Medical Examiner confirmed the grizzly did not kill Stevenson; he died from a gunshot wound to the chest fired by Bell using Stevenson's rifle.

Sheriff Bowe says DNA results conclude the bullet first went through the grizzly, then fatally hit Stevenson, who died an accidental death.
