Donations sought for Sheldon Mountain TV site
System is now digital
by Libby Video Club
December 19, 2011

To all users of the Sheldon Mountain site:

The Libby Video Club has gone digital. Thursday, November 10th was the day of great joy for us. All of our transmitters are now digital. For those of you without a digital converter box or a digital TV, the former channels have gone black. The channels now have been changed. There are no channels now in the 60 to 69 band. Because of the digital upgrades and the investment in this system and the community ($81,000 plus), The Libby Video Club is now asking for your yearly donation to keep us running.

The Video Club is providing KPAX, Missoula, KCFW, Kalispell, Montana PBS, Missoula-Bozeman, KXLY, KXMN, and KSPS, Spokane, plus several other digital channels including Montana CW, free of charge, off the air, from Sheldon Mountain.

If you are having trouble receiving these channels, we recommend having your TV set re-scan to detect these new frequencies.

Consider sending the Video Club an amount equal to a one month cable or satellite bill for a whole year. Can you donate $50, $75, or even a little more? We would be happy with any amount you can send us. This is for those of you who use the television signals from Sheldon Mountain and it's your yearly donations that pay the annual Forest Service site fee plus the power bill each month. Help us continue a service that started in the 1950s, and is today state of the art. Help keep TV coming from Sheldon Mountain.

Send your annual donation to: Libby Video Club, Box 977, Libby, Montana 59923

Thanks you for your continued support from the guys who keep this service coming to you.

Attached is a news release from the Heritage Museum for an event scheduled in Libby for 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 22.
