Ariana fire contained

The Ariana fire reached full containment Wednesday, August 31st, a day earlier than planned.

191 firefighters, up 51, were on the Arianna fire. It is estimated at 200 acres and a cost to date of $730,000.

The Ariana started August 26, 2011 in Ariana Creek drainage, a tributary to Wolf Creek on the Fisher River.

The fire crews were actively mopping up the fire 100’ or more from the fire line. The crews are concentrating on the steep areas of the fire where materials have been rolling across the handline.

The fire is human caused and is currently under investigation.
