Flash Flood Warning for Yaak River near Troy
May 15, 2011

The National Weather Service in Missoula has extended the Flood Warning for the Yaak River near Troy in northwestern Lincoln County in northwest Montana until further notice. At 9:45AM Sunday the stage was 7.9 feet. Forecast is for rise above flood stage by late Sunday afternoon and continue to rise to near 8.8 feet by early Tuesday morning. Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

At 8.5 feet, flooding affects low-lying areas adjacent to the river including homes and access roads. Sylvanite Ranger Station Road and Upper Ford Road will also be affected by flooding.
