Fjord Horse Libby Nordicfest 2010 September 14, 2010 Libby's 26th annual Nordicfest was held over the weekend, featuring the standby favorites like the Fjord horse show, Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild quilt show, juried craft show, youth runnerfell, parade, free entertainment, and of course, food! New this year was featured entertainment by The Nines, a Seattle party band; a meatball eating contest, a children's coloring contest, and arm wrestling competition returning for the second time. "Sailing into a New Nordic Adventure" was the 2010 royalty including King and Queen Rik and Diane Rewerts, Prince Jason Schikora, Princess Kaitlyn Haugen, and Kootenai and Mrs. Knute Tim and Dusti Thompson. Though the future of Nordicfest seemed uncertain for a time, many thanks go to the volunteers who kept the event alive and well. It's truly a community celebration.
