Arenacross race slated June 15

More than 100 riders are expected for the Libby Arenacross motocross race on Sunday, June 15, at the Millpond Motocross track.
The race will be the sixth of seven rounds in the 2008 Westmont MX Spring Series.
Other races in the series are held at Niarada and Plains. Riders compete in each round for cumulative totals with prizes to be awarded at the end of the series.
Competitors will range from youngsters on 50-cc bikes to pros on 250-cc machines.
There will be classes for a variety of age and skill levels.
The Millpond Motocross track is located behind the old Stimson mill, now Kootenai Business Park. To access the park, turn at the former Stimson control center and follow the signs.
Gates open at 6 a.m., with practice starting at 9 and racing at 11. Gate fees are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.
Another race will be held in mid-September.
