Flood Warning for Fisher and Yaak Rivers

The National Weather Service is continuing their Flood Warning for the Fisher River near Libby and the Yaak River near Troy.

The Fisher River was at 7.5 feet at noon on Sunday. Flood stage is 7.5 feet. Minor flooding was occurring. The river is expected to continue to rise and remain above flood stage for the next couple of days.

Flood stage for the Yaak River is 8.0 feet. As of 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon the river stage was 8.1 feet. Minor flooding was occurring and continues to be forecast.

A Flood Warning is also in effect for the Thompson River near Thompson Falls from midnight Sunday until Monday evening. Flood stage is 7.0 feet. As of 2:00 PM Sunday, the river stage was 7.0 feet. This river is expected to continue to rise.
