Thirty years of practicing medicine in South Lincoln County hasn’t slowed down Dr. Gregory Rice. He still rides his bike 120 miles a week, and to and from the office every day.

Dr. Rice, Family Practice Physician, Libby Clinic, and Chief of Staff at St. John’s was honored at the annual St. John’s Hospital Staff Service awards for his years of service and dedication to his patients.

Dr. Rice thanked the employees of St. John’s for their support over the past 30 years, and for the monumental role they play in the delivery of healthcare services to South Lincoln County “I have seen how far our hospital has come, and the changes made to stay up with medical technology, and I am excited for what is in store for us in the future,” said Rice. “Thank you, the employees at St. John’s, for the role you play in making it all happen.”

Also honored, for 30 years of medical service, was Dr. Brad Black, who could not make the award ceremony, along with Dr. Glenne Gunther who was honored for 20 years.

Other employees honored for years of service to St. John’s Lutheran Hospital were Tom Thompson, 20 years in Dietary and Clarice Thompson for 22 years of management.
Fifteen-year service awards went to Joan Bush, Abbe Heemeier, Julie Kendall, Teresa McLeod, Kathleen Straley, and Susan Holter.
