Fisher River Valley Fire/Rescue Fishing Derby
January 20, 2007

A young contestant waits for that prize-winning perch during the first annual Fisher River Valley Fire/Rescue Winter Ice Fishing Derby. About 350 entries were received for Saturday, the first day of the derby, with more expected on Sunday. Ice conditions are good on the Thompson Chain of Lakes, with about twelve inches of ice reported.
