Kootenai Farmer’s Market begins June 1
April 30, 2006

The Kootenai Country Farmers' Market in Libby will kick off it's third season beginning Thursday, June 1st. The market will again be held each week at the Bandshell on Mineral Avenue in Libby on Thursday afternoons from 4 to 7 pm. The season runs until October 5th.

Organizers are pleased with the way the event has grown. Items sold include hand-made crafts, home-grown plants and produce. No garage or yard sale items at this event. There will be free live musical entertainment most weeks. The event is held rain or shine. Set up begins at 3 pm. No sales to the public are allowed before 4 pm. Vendors must bring their own tables, displays and shelters.

Anyone interested in participating as a vendor can contact Susan Castaneda, the Market Master, at 406-293-2171 or Debi Davidson at 406-293-8406. The fee to participate throughout the season, (approximately 16 weeks) is $50. For those interested in participating on a monthly basis, the fee is $20 per month. By the week, the fee is $10/week. Printable versions of the Farmer’s Market rules and regulations, and a printable application, are available from their website.
