The mission of the Kootenai Heritage Council is "to preserve and transmit our heritage, enhance culture and contribute to the social, educational and economic well being of Lincoln County, Montana through the education, performance, enjoyment, viewing and understanding of all forms of artistic activity." Culture is a way of expressing ourselves and a vital means for understanding our society and values. Local communities, more than any other unit of society, benefit from the development and often becomes synonymous with a community's creative spirit.

Donations to the Kootenai Heritage Council are tax deductible. Membership is annual and expires August 31.
